In this role, you'll:

  • Be responsible for supporting the Senior Project Managers in multidisciplinary technical development and delivery of multiple projects. The position is accountable for technical services support. This includes technical engineering support & inputs for major infrastructure projects such as roads, rail, bridges & tunnels.
  • Be managing the technical components of assigned major projects for clients by representing Technical Services as the single point of contact for sourcing, managing, and coordinating internal and external resources to meet project delivery requirements through resource planning, procurement, project management and stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide assurance of optimal technical project outcomes through effective management and monitoring of resources, analysis and reporting on performance against time, cost, risk, and quality objectives.
  • Provide highlevel of technical input and coordination of technical input into contracts and provide feedback on innovative contract systems.
  • Support the Technical Director, providing advice, guidance, and options for the effective and coordinated use of Technical Services resources throughout project development and delivery.
This position will service projects in our Northern Region and can be based out of our Sydney or Northern Hub Offices - Newcastle to Queensland border

Some Projects include:

  • The Hexham Straight Widening alliance project soon to enter construction phase.
  • Mandalong Rd project plus several other Central Coast projects (Wamberal to Bateau Bay + Tumbi Rd) all in development phase.

About you
You possess a tertiary qualification in business, engineering, or related discipline.

Has demonstrated highly developed technical experience in the construction industry and proven experience of working in integrated and multi-disciplinary technical teams on road infrastructure projects as well as the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work and operate independently, managing tasks simultaneously.

High level of communication skills and great exposure and ability in tactfully liaising with senior stakeholder group, is essential.

You will have a technical engineering background (in infrastructure) with project management skills. The role requires you to assess and input technical requirements into our development, design and delivery functions. We seek someone with a working knowledge of the Configuration Management processes, project gating processes and concessions approval steps.

The role will suit a technical design engineer with backgrounds such as roads, rail etc looking to move in a more project management, technical contracts and resourcing direction.
