About your role

  • UGL's Manufacturing and Maintenance business is looking for a

Technical Trainer to join our Manufacturing & Maintenance team. This can be based in either Newcastle or Melbourne with travel as required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop training packages and provide training services to maintenance staff in designated rollingstock are of expertise (Mechanical or Electrical systems).
  • Develop training packages and provide training services in maintenance systems such as SAP, SAM mobility and SharePoint.
  • Develop training packages and provide training services in nonrolling stock systems where appropriate and competent.
  • Assist with the setup of maintenance systems and work packages for new projects and maintenance tasks as required
  • Support with the development of maintenance work instructions
  • Promotion of asset management principles

About you

  • You will have extensive experience as a

Maintainer in a heavy maintenance environment, leading change or developing new processes.

Other skills and experience will include:

  • Experience as a technical leader within rail, automotive, military, defense, avionics or any other safety critical environment
  • Trade qualification in relevant industry such as Electrician, Fitter & Turner, Mechanic
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent will be highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and followthrough within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
