Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

About the position
Holy Spirit OSHC, Cranbrook is seeking an OSHC Assistant Coordinator. We welcome families with children aged prep to year six into our program for before school, after school and vacation care services. At Holy Spirit OSHC, we value establishing strong relationships with the school community to provide the best possible care for the children and families we collaboratively serve

As an OSHC Assistant Coordinator you will join a supportive environment and will have the opportunity to manage and mentor a team of Educators while guiding the service development to meet local needs with the support from your Business Operations Consultant and other experts in their fields from MMCNQ

The successful applicant will be appointed on a part-time permanent basis working 35 hours per week across the hours of 6:30am - 10:00am and 1:30pm - 6:00pm or similar.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Teaching ect)
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
  • Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
  • Ability to pass a national criminal history check
  • Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
