A leading metal recycling company who play a crucial role in reducing the environmental impact of metal waste.

They provide local governments and businesses throughout Victoria the opportunity to recycle metal waste and help keep Victoria clean and green They are on the lookout for a Sales Representative to join their growing business.


About the Role:


Reporting to the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base as well as managing key customer relationships.

You will an ambassador for our company, promoting our metal recycling services, and forging strong partnerships with businesses and organisations in various industries.


Duties:

  • Building & maintain a customer database: overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as developing new business
  • Developing rapport with customers, tailoring our products and service offerings to their specific needs, and addressing their issues
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling & Door to Door business visits.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Participating weekly planning and procurement meetings.
  • Negotiating quotes and managing bespoke customer requirements.
  • Contributing to sales presentations and tender reviews/submissions.
  • Follow, predict, and hedge against all pricing trends and market changes related to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and scrap industries.
  • Continuously improve purchasing department practices by developing new and revising existing processes, procedures, and systems providing a distinct competitive advantage in the markets we serve.
  • Negotiate ferrous and nonferrous metals pricing with material suppliers/customers.
  • Record keeping. (Including ISO9001 Supplier setup documents, etc).
  • Helping in the warehouse when needed.
  • Monitor and follow all applicable laws and regulations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Previous experience in scrap metal trading or the waste industry highly desirable
  • Ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Neat and professional appearance and outgoing peopleoriented personality.
  • Sound computer skills (Microsoft products efficiently and effectively such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Familiar with OneDrive, Zoom meeting etc) i
  • Selfmotivated and detail oriented.
  • Be able to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and a proven problemsolver.
