THE ROLE

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in customer service.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle evolving requirements and navigate ambiguous situations.

  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar role, including exposure to 3rd party logistics.
Solid knowledge of transport services and systems.

  • Profound understanding of relevant legislation, including but not limited to OH&S regulations, duty of care responsibilities, chain of responsibility legislation, and Drug & Alcohol policies.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically plan carrier loading to ensure accurate, costeffective, and efficient order deliveries that meet customer requirements and enhance the reputation of our client.
  • Oversee and ensure the efficient and profitable performance of the transport operation.
  • Continuously focus on improving all aspects of transport management.
  • Develop the capability to provide timely reports.
  • Ensure accurate dispatch of stock with the appropriate paperwork.
  • Manage transport spreadsheets, update dispatch allocations, and maintain GPS software.
  • Implement quality control procedures for outgoing orders to ensure Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT).
  • Keep records of rates for all carriers to facilitate the review and approval of carrier invoices.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams to ensure orders are prepared for timely delivery/pickup and inform the yard team about incoming shipments for proactive planning.
  • Manage all documentation related to stock receipts and dispatches.
