The Opportunity

The Policy Officer -
Policy &
Advocacy is responsible for contributing policy expertise and technical knowledge, and building relationships to support the provision of high quality VET public policy advice, responses to public policy decisions and influential advocacy for TAFE NSW's public policy positions.

You have impeccable communication skills, are analytical, organised and a natural problem solver.

You enjoy building trusting relationships, collaborating with your Team and taking initiative.

This is a full-time temporary position and can be done as a secondment if the applicant is a public sector employee

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to public policy strategies in a complex and often confidential environment using evidencebased skills.
  • Understanding of tertiary and VET issues and related policy.
  • Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
