We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sponsorship Management Officer to join our team at the University of Newcastle. As a key member of our international partnerships team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, universities, and other stakeholders to secure funding for international student scholarships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase government-funded scholarships across all colleges
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, and sponsorship bodies
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to sponsored international student recruitment
  • Provide analysis and reporting on government sponsorship funding agreements
  • Manage projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in sponsorship management, government relations, or a related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of internationalisation and the international higher education market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work in an inter-disciplinary way
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement plans
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience with complex corporate systems
