About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Officer (Planning) to join our team at City of Newcastle. As a key member of our Development Assessment Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that new developments in the City of Newcastle are consistent with statutory requirements, development policies, and environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and determinations of development applications
  • Provide professional and technical planning advice to the community, external and internal customers, and management
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that development projects meet regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the development of planning policies and strategies
