Exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as Head of Risk and Compliance based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane
We are seeking a leader to oversee Uniti Group's risk management, compliance, and business continuity frameworks, along with responsibility for the Group's insurance. This role involves close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, the Audit and Risk Committee, and the Board to ensure effective delivery of corporate compliance and risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of Uniti Group's risk management framework
- Provide guidance and support to risk owners to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls
- Manage operational risk registers and ensure integration into day-to-day operations and strategies
- Coordinate internal audit requirements
- Conduct quarterly reviews and reporting of risk registers for executive leadership and board engagement.
- Maintain and manage insurance coverage across Uniti Group
- Liaise with insurance brokers for annual insurance program renewals
- Manage claims and potential claims under Uniti Group's insurance policies
- Provide advice on ad hoc queries related to insurance cover
- Develop and implement a compliance management and monitoring framework
- Perform compliance assessments to ensure adherence to obligations
- Oversee quality and assurance activities, including policy and procedure development and maintenance
- Monitor, manage, and report on compliance obligations, including legislative requirements and internal policies
- Provide training to employees on compliance and risk-related matters
- Liaise with regulatory bodies on compliance matters
- Provide direction and support for preparing and maintaining business continuity plans
- Ensure integration of plans into day-to-day operations and strategies
About you:

- Demonstrates integrity through honesty, transparency, and trustworthiness
- Tertiary qualification in risk or governance related discipline or significant applied experience as a risk management professional, including experience in managing business continuity functions
- Demonstrated track record of influencing stakeholders from different backgrounds to drive risk-aware business outcomes
- Experience with Camms softwareadvantageous
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with demonstrated experience preparing and presenting risk reports to an executive and/ board
- Working knowledge of cyber risk, workplace health and safety risks and the telecommunications industry
