  • Provide leadership, training and mentoring for other members of LHLCU.
  • Interpret the Act and relevant laws to provide advice about the operation of the Act, identify novel issues and exercise statutory powers appropriately.
  • Recognise and analyse compliance risk on a case and systemic level and use evidence to make recommendations about risk treatment.

We'll consider how well you:

  • Demonstrate an ability to conduct both the field and officebased compliance activities of the role (see Key Responsibilities above) including producing well written, evidencebased decisions having regard to a statutory framework.
  • Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills as evidenced by the ability to effectively liaise with employers and employees within the private sector, deliver presentations and prepare and present detailed written submissions and reports.
  • Demonstrate strong legislative interpretation skills and have a sound knowledge of contemporary issues, legislation and policies relating to labour hire and other relevant laws.
  • Demonstrate welldeveloped analytical and legislative interpretation skills including the capacity to assess compliance risk, interrogate financial data and make recommendations for appropriate compliance strategies to address risk.
  • Show proven leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to respond to and/or initiate strategies for continued improvement to business performance, and commitment to the cultural values of OIR.
