Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Intelligence Advisor to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a Principal Advisor - Program Intelligence, you will play a critical role in providing strategic intelligence support to our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with the POS Leadership Team to identify, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate compliance programs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure their expectations are met.
  • Culture Development: Work with other team members to foster a culture of innovation and proactivity, responding to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics techniques to support program functions, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Statistical Analysis: Employ statistical methods to derive insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Complex Data Analysis: Analyze and report on complex datasets, including operational WHS inspectorate and workers' compensation databases.
  • Reporting and Communication: Develop briefing papers, comprehensive reports, and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Evidence-Based Intelligence: Ensure that intelligence provided for program work is evidence-based, aligns strategically with organizational goals, and supports informed decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Evaluation: Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to understand their intelligence needs and tailor analysis accordingly. Embed evaluation mechanisms into program activities to monitor progress, assess impact, and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have expertise in data analytics, the ability to analyze and report on complex datasets, and a commitment to evidence-based decision-making.
