Job Summary:

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Advisor - Program Intelligence to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing strategic intelligence support to our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with and provide support to the POS Leadership Team in the identification, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of compliance programs.
  • Identify and manage effective stakeholder relationships to ensure stakeholder and client expectations are achieved.
  • Work closely with other members of the unit to foster an innovative and proactive culture that is responsive to changing needs and circumstances as evidenced by continuous improvement in the development and delivery of compliance services.
  • Utilise data analytics techniques to support program functions, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and visualisation.
  • Employ statistical methods to derive insights and inform decision-making processes.
  • Analyse and report on complex datasets, including operational WHS inspectorate and workers' compensation databases (using appropriate software such as APEX, Oracle autonomous data warehouse tools, SQL, and MS Excel).
  • Develop briefing papers, comprehensive reports, and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure that intelligence provided for program work is evidence-based, aligns strategically with organisational goals, and supports informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to understand their intelligence needs and tailor analysis accordingly.
  • Embed evaluation mechanisms into program activities to monitor progress, assess impact, and identify areas for improvement.
