The Opportunity

This permanent role will contribute to all aspects of event planning and management, which includes everything from event concept development and delivery through to getting your hands dirty packing up at the end of an event.


The success of Council's Events requires everyone in the team to multitask, cross skill and work together across all elements of event planning and delivery, so you'll contribute to risk and compliance, logistics and site planning, marketing and communications and everything in between.


Sound interesting? Remember its event management, so working weekends, unusual hours, packing and unpacking trucks, setting up, cleaning and getting your hands dirty as part of the team are an equally important part of the role.


About You

Genuine, approachable and a good communicator? The role requires a motivated professional with business nous, an eye for detail, and hands that aren't frightened to get dirty.


To be successful in the role, you will need to have a degree in events management or extensive demonstrated experience in a similar event management environment.

You will be creative and strive to continuously improve, as you collaborate and grow with the experienced multi-disciplinary team members around you, who will guide you as you navigate and adapt to the structure of Local Government.


Benefits

This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a base salary of $81,834 up to $90,836 per year based on demonstrated skills and experience + 10.5% p.a.
