Sheep Genetics is responsible for the delivery of the National Genetics Evaluation for sheep in Australia. The supporting technology and systems are important to provide the delivery of existing and new genetic products. This position is designed to continue to develop the interface and database required for the delivery of these.

About the Role

Gaining excellent exposure to the operations of our business and external stakeholders, we have a rewarding role for an experienced Sheep Genetics Systems Developer to join our Livestock Genetics team. The role is available as a fixed term, 12 month contract based out of our Armidale, Brisbane or North Sydney offices.

Our ideal Sheep Genetics System Developer has:

  • Ability to develop and maintain the Sheep Genetics search website;
  • Experience developing web based products through associated interfaces;
  • Demonstrated ability to support the Sheep Genetics Manager and staff in relation to development of front-end infrastructure linking database functionality and user experience into a seamless product; and
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate with wider staff and service providers in the delivery of genetic information for sheep industry customers and key stakeholders via a web interface.
