The purpose of this position is to assist in the delivery of the Sheep & Poultry Competitions & Events exhibits for the 2024 Royal Easter Show.

The **Sydney Royal Easter Show** is the largest annual ticketed event staged in the Southern Hemisphere and we are currently looking for an **Assistant, Sydney Royal Sheep & Poultry Competitions & Events **to join our Small Livestock Competitions team for the 2024 Show.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of duties including, but not limited to:

- Support the daily operations of Sheep & Fleece and Poultry & Pigeon Competitions at the Sydney Royal Easter Show
- Assist in setting up animal exhibits, following health regulations as instructed
- Have a good grasp of Sheep & Fleece and Poultry & Pigeon Sections rules and regulations
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Committee Members, Exhibitors, Officials, and Sponsors
- Perform data entry tasks, as well as assist in processing and proofreading result transactions and printing result documentation
- Sort ribbons and judging cards on a daily basis and organise and distribute trophies
- Assist in the smooth running of Sheep & Fleece and Poultry & Pigeon Sections during the Show, supporting Pavilion Superintendents and Committees
- General administrative duties, such as filing and housekeeping, as required.
- Other duties as may reasonably be given

This role is a contract role to April 2024, and will require you to work the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show period **(22 March to 2 April 2024)**.

Office hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm; however, the nature of this role requires some weekend, evening and public holiday work.

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of Sheep and Poultry industries will be highly regarded

**Experience**
- Minimum 1 year experience in administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders
- Customer service experience

**Computer Skills**
- An intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- Database experience

**Person Specifications**
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong initiative, motivation and adaptability
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
- Willingness to follow directions and coordinate various tasks and skills simultaneously
