The Desktop Support Officer is responsible for providing front-line technical support to end-users and responding to and resolving service tickets in a timely manner.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  • Demonstrated ability as a multiskilled ICT Desktop Support Officer in a highly diverse team along with the ability to be selfmotivated and work in an unsupervised environment as an independent, selfmanaged ICT Support Officer
  • Demonstrated approach to ensuring relevant and up to date working knowledge of IT industry trends and services
  • Highlevel detailed knowledge of PC hardware operations, mobile workforce configuration and hardware troubleshooting techniques
  • Proven ability to take ownership of all assigned calls and work through all issues, always remaining focussed on the customer, ensuring regular updates whilst knowing when to ask for support to resolve calls
  • Demonstrated 3+ years working in ICT support roles and advanced knowledge of local area networking and file server configuration along with a proven understanding of Cyber Security best practises
  • Proven ability to support a variety of users with divergent needs and skill levels. Translate user needs into viable solutions, work independently and as part of a project team, work collaboratively to make necessary decisions and respond to emergency situations effectively
  • Demonstrated approach to communicate technical and complex information in verbal and written form, accurately troubleshoot and diagnose technology issues in a complex networked environment, identify trends and make suggestions for technical modifications to resolve existing and future problems
