  • $135,000 + Superannuation

Role Profile:

Managing a small team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end billings function and overseeing a weekly subcontractor payment cycle. You'll be crucial in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance and work to further enhance and streamline existing processes. Duties will include:

  • Review, develop and implement enhanced billing procedures and policies to streamline the billing process and improve revenue management.
  • Generate and issue invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and client agreements.
  • Maintain a weekly subcontractor payment cycle, ensuring timely and accurate payments (subcontractor costs are incorporated into the end-client billings and must be accurate and reconciled).
  • Reconcile billing and payment records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with the broader finance team to ensure cash flow optimisation and effective revenue management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address client inquiries.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to billing and payments.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis to track billing and revenue performance.
  • Provide leadership to the team while remaining hands-on in daily billings activities, operating as a "player coach"

Successful Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and possibly hold a CA or CPA designation.
  • Previously experience directly managing and supervising a transactional team (e.g. Billings Officers, AP, AR Staff)
  • Proven experience in the transactional space, preferably in a high-volume and fast-paced billing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
