About the role

As an Accounts Payable Officer at NORTHEAST AUTO GROUP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining vendor relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong accounting background to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Verify coding and obtain necessary approvals for payments.
  • Prepare and execute check runs or electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payments and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audits and compliance requirements as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Myob etc.) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
