ABOUT THE POSITION


Are you a skilled Purchasing Officer ready to make an impact? We are looking for a Purchasing Officer who will have responsibility for on time delivery of required quality components, products and services in the most cost-effective manner.

A critical aspect of the role is to ensure that all purchasing is compliant with the relative standards, quality assurance policies and all other company policies and guidelines.

You will thrive in the fast-paced start-up world where no two days are the same.

You'll be joining a team of smart, driven, collaborative and highly dedicated individuals who love solving engineering challenges and who are excited to be fighting the climate crisis.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review material requirements and raise purchase orders where required;
  • Reporting any changes to purchase orders that may have an impact on the business;
  • Coordinate supply chain, monitor and review storage and inventory systems, control stock levels, and track all movements of supplies and finished goods to ensure delivery expectations are met;
  • Pricing focused on enabling the company to identify key opportunities for savings;
  • Identify areas where you can drive opportunities for process improvement;
  • In conjunction with the Supply and Sourcing Manager, negotiate contract specifics including pricing and ensure the requirements of the contract are clearly documented;
  • Manage thirdparty suppliers and identify areas for Continuous Improvements; and
  • Work with wider teams to hit strategic procurement goals that are set;

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ Years experience in a similar purchasing position;
  • Startup environment experience is preferred but not essential;
  • Strong communication, negotiation, rapportbuilding and customer service skills;
  • Be able to conduct tasks to a high quality autonomously;
  • The drive to grow within your career and internally within the business; and
  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain or similar is preferred but not essential.
