About the
Business Intelligence Administrator - what you'll be doing

Database

  • Ensure that all databases are managed in line with best industry practices
  • Management of databases across multiple variants of SQL including MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Informix
  • Responsible for the architecture and integration of the database environment
  • Proactively monitors EDW & BI Applications to meet and ensure that all databases are available within business hours or otherwise agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure availability of data via internal and external API's
  • Ensure that all databases are maintained, being upgraded, and patched in accordance with business needs
  • Ensure that all data is secure and backed up at all times
  • Ensure all relevant data is adequately indexed and databases are optimised
  • Maintain documentation for all database environment

Technology & Project Support

  • Work with other members of the technology team to ensure data is available for relevant reporting requirements
  • Ensure corporate IT policies, procedures and standards are developed and enhanced
  • Review and identify potential risks within the technology systems and develop plans to minimise/mitigate risks
  • Contribute to change management for all systems within the technology environment.

General

  • Ability to interact with business users to help with report development and/or design.
  • Develops and creates needed reports and dashboards.
  • Designs and produces ad hoc reports and queries as required.
  • Provides training and support for ad hoc reporting.
  • Demonstrate a customer focus in all behaviours including the design and implementation of database systems, infrastructure, reports and dashboards
  • Create value for Snooze stakeholders by providing an _awesome customer experience_

  • Promote the execution of activities in a defined and repeatable processbased approach
  • Record and manage any feedback or suggestions from stakeholders
  • Provide assistance on other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Professional Services Manager or Head of Technology
  • Travel as required

To be considered for this role you must have

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in database or business intelligences administration or management
  • Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Informix
  • Experience with reporting tools and the development of reports and dashboards.
  • Welldeveloped understanding of change management and release management processes
  • Selfmotivated, meticulous and professional approach
(The successful applicant will be required to present a current, clean Police check due the inherent nature of managing sensitive material in this role)
