About the Role
As a member of the People and Culture Leadership team, the
General Manager People & Culture will provide strategic leadership on all people and safety matters within
Transit Systems.
Demonstrating strong analytical capabilities and business acumen to identify People & Culture priorities, they will lead the development and implementation of projects aligned to the strategic business goals.
The General Manager People & Culture will build collaborative business partner relationships and demonstrate a high level of strategic leadership and management capabilities to lead, manage and develop members of the People & Culture team and to provide support to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Directors/General Managers within the Transit Systems business.
This position will be located in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the industrial relations strategy for Transit Systems.
- Ensure the delivery of highquality training and development programs that can be delivered in flexible ways to suit the operational requirements of the organisation.
- Ensure the implementation and management of Diversity and Inclusion programs to engage our diverse workforce, celebrate success and recognise and thank our team members.
- Implementation of a Talent Management Framework.
- Development of effective employee engagement strategies.
- Support the review and integration of Transit Systems remuneration and benefits to align with the businesses Remuneration & Benefits Framework.
- Provide advice in all People & Culture areas and the interpretation and use of policy, procedure and legislation.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the businesses suite of Policies and Procedures.
- Work with business leaders to develop and implement KPIs and other performance measures/standards within the business.
- Manage the People & Culture reporting systems including key performance indicators relevant to the achievement of strategic P&C objectives.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (essential).
- Extensive experience in a senior Generalist HR Operations role within large, complex organisations.
- Proven experience in supporting Senior Executives.
- Proven experience in supporting Operational management teams.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality.
