Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Risk Analyst to join our Second Line Operational Risk team at Auto & General. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Manager Operational Risk by delivering key risk advisory activities, reporting, and assurance support across various business units.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver risk advisory activities to support Senior Managers and Advisers.
- Facilitate the content for operational risk reporting for the General Manager and the Chief Risk Officer's Report.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of key risk indicators and metrics.
- Provide education and training on risk management across the Group.
- Report on emerging risks through internal forums and external changes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for effective risk reviews.
- Promote a positive risk culture and support business owners on risk performance.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in operational risk, enterprise risk, and financial/non-financial risk frameworks.
- At least 2 years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, or GRC, or with a background in audit, accountancy, risk, or actuarial fields.
- Strong engagement skills and ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and senior leaders across the Group.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior managers and stakeholders.
- Experience in the general insurance industry is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with risk management systems (Ideally Archer).
