Your Purpose


As a key member of our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, you will provide on-site HSW support, leadership and coaching to our manufacturing sites across Victoria.


Working across our metropolitan and regional sites, this role can be based at our Bayswater (eastern suburbs) or our northern sites in Tullamarine or Campbellfield.

You will be required to travel throughout metro Melbourne as well as our regional sites in Cobden, Stanhope and Darnum.

The position attracts a fully maintained company vehicle.


Supporting with the continuous improvement and compliance of our health, safety and wellbeing programs as well as the delivery of training is a vital part of this role.

A key focus of your role will be to support the proactive management of risks, and upskilling the business in Health, Safety and Wellbeing.


Your day to day will include building effective relationships, sharing and implementing best practice, coaching, and delivering training to ensure implementation of a consistent approach, and ensuring compliance requirements are met.


You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the implementation of site HSW business plans
  • Supporting the implementation of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) HSE Pillar
  • Leading incident Investigations when required
  • Supporting the implementation of corrective actions following workplace events
  • Delivering internal training programs to build HSW management system capability
  • Supporting the implementation of wellbeing programs
  • Providing reporting and technical support for H&S systems including First Priority and Cority
  • Supporting injury and claims management process

What you'll bring


Ideally coming from a manufacturing background, you will need to be confident, hands-on, high energy, engaging, and have had some coaching experience.

A passionate relationship builder, your stakeholder relationship skills and your natural ability to manage expectations proactively will see you go far in this role.

To make an impact in this role you will have:

  • A recognised formal qualification in WHS or related field
  • Health and Safety expertise ideally within a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor others with demonstrated experience in changing safety culture
  • Good understanding of Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and relevant Legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exposure to ICAM and/or equivalent Root Cause Analysis investigation techniques
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
