Location - Melbourne CBD (Travel Involved)6 Months Daily Rate/6 Months Fixed Term Contract Immediate Start

Key Accountabilities:
1. Contribute to the development of the HSW Strategy including implementation of initiatives and programs and partner with the business to build HSW capability and apply knowledge to reduce HSW risk and prevent injury and illness by implementing hazard identification, risk assessment activities and training initiatives
2. Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSW management system and initiatives that will assist to continually improving HSW performance
3. Perform investigations, reviews of key risks and coach management, staff and contractors to minimise HSW risks
4. Contribute to the HSW monthly, quarterly, and annual reports through the provision of HSW data analytics and storytelling
5. Apply HSW knowledge to identify trends and implement initiatives to reduce and prevent workplace injuries and illnesses

Key Capabilities:

1. Demonstrated experience and skills in the conducting of hazard identification, risk assessments, incident response and investigation activities and implementation of HSW programs within a large and complex environment
2. Excellent working knowledge of Victorian OHS and Workplace Injury, Rehabilitation and Compensation (WIRC) legislation and its application in a large and complex organisation. Including the ability to interpret and apply
the provisions of the OHS WIRC legislation, policies and standards as they relate to the workplace, including the management of contractors
3. Strong analytical and project management skills that can be applied in the context of both partnering activities and supporting strategic project implementation
4. Ability to analyse data sets and provide insights to management to enable reviews of health, safety and wellbeing performance indicators
5. Good collaboration capabilities with a customer focus to ensure that HSW standards and programs are developed and delivered in line the HSW strategy
6. Experience in developing and implementing safety and wellbeing risk assessments, managing safety and wellbeing incidents and injuries, conducting investigations and audits and working with management teams to implement HSW programs and improve HSW business performance.

Qualifications:
1. Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Risk Management, Human Resources or Law or like relevant experience to the accountabilities of the role
