**What you will be doing**

Reporting directly to Principal Consultant OHS, this role will be responsible for:

- Supporting the implementation of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) policies and procedures within the VEC
- Providing end-to-end HSW support to the VEC's permanent and temporary workforce leading up to and during the Local Government election 2024 (LG2024).
- Supporting Election Offices and Central sites to manage hazards and incidents
- Providing support to any injured or ill employees.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and modern developments in OHS, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively managing health, safety and wellbeing in a high paced, and varied environment.
- Experience in the management of work related and personal injuries / illnesses, and workers compensation claims.
- Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to the VEC's core values
