Reporting directly to Principal Consultant OHS, this role will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) policies and procedures within the VEC
- Providing end-to-end HSW support to the VEC's permanent and temporary workforce leading up to and during the Local Government election 2024 (LG2024). Supporting Election Offices and Central sites to manage hazards and incidents
- Providing support to any injured or ill employees.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and modern developments in OHS, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in effectively managing health, safety and wellbeing in a high paced, and varied environment. Experience in the management of work related and personal injuries / illnesses, and workers compensation claims. Welldeveloped interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
