Reporting to the General Manager - People and Culture, the Volunteer Manager will play an integral role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen and grow our volunteer workforce so that we are able to achieve our organisational objectives and goals of delivering excellent care and support to our valued customers.
What you'll do:
The Manager is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives and processes that maximise the utilisation of volunteers to ensure the highest quality of service.
- Embed a customer solution focussed environment.
- Provide specialist volunteer management advice, direction and support to leaders and their teams.
- Promote, represent, and raise the profile of ACH Group's Volunteer Program through collaboration with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, support and advocacy for volunteers ensuring development of talent pipeline strategies and opportunities.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, orientation, and corporate recognition of volunteers across ACH Group's programs and services.
About You
We are looking for someone that has experience leading and transforming volunteer programs, with a solid understanding of best practice and what it takes to be an organisation of choice for people who wish to volunteer their time.
You will need
- Formal qualifications in human services, management or equivalent
- Proven experience in the development, management, and implementation of volunteering programs within human service organisations
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to work well in a team
- Impeccable attention to detail and high focus on accuracy
