As a Local Sourcing Specialist, you will be pivotal in enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost management for our operations in Australia and New Zealand. This position would suit a proactive, individual dedicated to ensuring the seamless delivery of business plans and strategic procurement initiatives. By collaborating with key stakeholders and leading negotiations, you will help propel Air Liquide towards achieving innovative, responsive, and customer-focused service excellence in the gas sector.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Execute the full sourcing process to ensure delivery of business plans and category strategies, in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop a sourcing plan and strategies to meet those needs
  • Perform supplier surveys, supply market research and analytical studies to identify and select potential suppliers
  • Conduct requisitions that is appropriate to the type of Goods and/or Services required and in accordance with procurement policies and category strategies
  • Lead the negotiations, where required, with suppliers to obtain optimal value
  • Manage the establishment of contracts using the appropriate contract templates and obtain support from the Legal department when needed
  • Establish and promote the use of purchasing catalogues to meet the procurement efficiency targets by automating purchasing transactions
  • Lead the resolution of payment issues to suppliers by obtaining support from the regional business service centre
  • Lead supplier management, including ongoing contract management and control, collation of performance data and plan and execute supplier meetings, when required

Are you a MATCH?

  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Engineering or related
  • 3-5 years Road Transport experience, preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Specialist in Procurement or Purchasing
  • Knowledge on contract management
  • Experienced in matrix type organisation is preferred
  • Skills in influencing, negotiation and gaining commitment from stakeholders and harbour strong working relationships
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make judgements in complex situations
