The Role


Reporting to the Manager - Life and Established Claims Management, the Lead - Life & Trauma and Established Claims Management is a newly created role.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the Life, Trauma and Established Claims Management teams to ensure quality decisions are made in a timely manner and there is a consistent claims management approach through:

  • Monitoring and managing daily workflow management for individuals and team
  • Accuracy and timeliness of assessments
  • Providing technical expertise for complex matters
  • Providing coaching and training for the team and individuals
  • Leading the team to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Managing individual and team performance informal and formal
  • Ensuring core regulatory risk and obligations are adhered to
  • Dealing with escalations and complaints
  • Ensuring data integrity and quality
  • Ensuring the team take a fair and reasonable approach to decision making in all circumstances
  • Ensuring all Claims service and business metrics are monitored, met or exceeded

About You
You are an experienced People Manager with the ability to demonstrate customer-service orientation.

You bring 5+ years Life Insurance Claims experience, including knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting the life insurance industry.

Ideally, you have obtained tertiary qualifications:

(Desirable but not essential)

Australian Insurance Institute (desirable)
