Senior Case Manager - Life Insurance Claims 

  • Sydney CBD location 
  • Permanent Contract 
  • Specialised portfolio of Death, Terminal Illness, TPD and Trauma claims 

We have an opportunity for an experienced Claims professional to join our Life team in Sydney. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be part of a high performance culture and join a customer focused team consisting of Technical Managers, Case Managers, and administrative support staff.   

As Senior Case Manager, you will be our first ‎point of contact for new claimants and assist existing customers with ‎their enquiries. You will have passion for delivering exceptional service to our customers in ‎their “Moment of Truth" and act as a true ambassador of a trusted brand.‎ As a senior member of the team you will positively contribute to team culture, drive change and innovation.  

You’ll be responsible for

  • Managing initial and ongoing assessment of claims through to finalisation 
  • Building effective relationships with a variety of key ‎‎stakeholders - both internal and external. 
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of a high standard of customer service and provide regular updates to customers throughout the duration of their claim.  

About you

  • Minimum 12 months previous experience managing Retail or Group Life Insurance claims  
  • Experience in assessing health related claims  
  • High-level conversational, written and listening skills  
  • Solid problem solving and relationship building abilities  
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement whilst handling multiple tasks  
  • Excellent time management, resilience, and agility when changes occur  
  • A mindset which is supportive and allows you to ‘walk in our customer's shoes'  
  • Highly organised working methods with good attention to detail  
  • A desire to collaborate, participate and support your team  
  • A drive to go above and beyond when assisting customers and colleagues  
  • Tertiary qualifications are highly desired (Legal, Allied Health, Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy qualifications will be viewed favourably)
