Be Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Domestic Violence Caseworker to join a well known NfP located in South East Sydney.

This role is responsible for providing case management and crisis assistance to women experiencing domestic and family violence.

The role:

  • Conducting initial intakes and assessments and providing crisis intervention where appropriate
  • Working closely with the client to develop case plans that include ongoing support, review, and follow up; crisis intervention as required
  • Referring clients to appropriate external services such as those that provide life skill and educational programs
  • Providing crisis intervention where appropriate
  • Supporting and assisting clients in a way that promotes independence, empowerment and prevents a return to homelessness
  • Undertaking home visits, advocating on behalf of the clients where required, and supervising client activities
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate client records and case notes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing crisis intervention and case work for women with/without children experiencing domestic and family violence and/ or homelessness, including people with complex and/or highlevel needs,
  • Sound knowledge of child protection issues and the crisis, social, community and private rental housing market in NSW.
  • NSW drivers licence
