About the Role

The Psychology: Leading Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Project Officer to join our team. As a Project Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and delivery of key objectives focused on student safety and wellbeing, especially in relation to sexual harm prevention and response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director, Student Services Unit, and collaborate closely with Safety Caseworkers.
  • Review, update, and work on ongoing improvements to the administrative coordination of the current student reporting process, liaising with key stakeholders, designing improvements to the online information and reporting experience, and working collaboratively with other relevant staff.
  • Assist the Director, SSU and Safety Caseworkers to contribute to university policy and procedures which are aligned with UTS vision and strategies.
  • Assist the overall improvement of quality of service incorporating ongoing reviews of:
    • Policies/procedures; forms and information provided to students; soliciting and evaluating feedback from students; and the development and review of performance indicators within an ethical framework.
    • Managing project work for the Director of SSU as required.
  • Maintain consultation and liaison procedures with Faculties; UTS International; other University units; and student representatives.
  • Attend regular meetings with line manager and stakeholders to review practice.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational, time management, communication and project management skills, including the ability to manage workflows, responding to a changeable workload, manage competing priorities, liaise with stakeholders and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to make recommendations to facilitate decision making and planning purposes.
  • Ability to research, review and synthesize information from diverse sources in order to develop online material, including forms, and to inform decision making, implement ideas and improve local practices as well as draft formal reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to the experience of sexual assault, family violence, and child protection concerns.
  • Knowledge of current sexual harm issues in a tertiary education setting.
