We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Violence Practitioner to join our team in Wagga Wagga. As a key member of our clinical and community programs, you will be responsible for providing individual and group support to men who use family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV), and women, men, and children with a lived experience of FDSV.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual therapeutic support to men who use FDSV and adults and children with a lived experience of FDSV, in accordance with our service guidelines.
- Develop and review content for groups, delivering psychoeducation and therapeutic group programs.
- Develop relationships and maintain contact with other agencies and key stakeholders for referral, networking, and promotion of the service.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to increase safety for women and children.
- Experience and qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or Social Science.
- Current registration/membership with at least one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW); Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); and Level 2 or above Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
- Completed Graduate Certificate in Men's Behaviour Change Individual and Group-work Interventions or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in facilitating MBCP.
- Demonstrated two years professional experience working in the FDSV sector or related work.
- Comprehensive understanding of the drivers of FDSV and the impact of intersectionality on engagement with services.
