About the Centre
Coburg Leisure Centre (CLC) is one of six Aquatic and Leisure Facilities within Active Merri-bek.

CLC is a year-round facility with a 25-metre heated indoor pool, heated learner's pool and toddler's play pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gym and group fitness classes, as well as child care.


About the role


As an Operations Officer, you will ensure the centre's safe and smooth operation, emphasising service excellence and occupational health and safety.

You lead by example, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development within your team. Your responsibilities encompass facility maintenance, particularly pool operations, and contractor management for essential services. You will handle customer inquiries, complaints, and emergencies promptly, maintaining high service standards. Additionally, you will manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, purchasing, and reporting, to uphold organisational standards.

As a vital part of the leadership team, the Operations Officer embodies YMCA Victoria's values, driving safety, quality, and operational excellence.

This is a permanent full-time position and the hourly rate is $ Super.

About you
You possess experience in operations with a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and quality of the facility

Additionally, you are:

  • A dynamic leader committed to ensuring venue safety and efficiency
  • Passionate about service excellence and team development
  • Skilled in staff rostering, training, and recruitment within budget constraints
  • Experienced in facility maintenance, especially pool operations and contractor management
  • Proactive in addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and emergencies
  • Experienced with administrative tasks, including recordkeeping and reporting

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • SISSS00111 Pool Lifeguard Skillset
