What You Will Be Doing
We have over 47,000 clients who trust us to keep them safe and independent at home, when out and about and even at work, with all profits re-invested back into public health.
From our senior clients, people living with chronic conditions and disabilities to lone workers out in the community, MePACS provides the highest level of customer service in a professional and caring manner, giving peace of mind to both our clients and their family.
The Workforce Development Manager role is responsible for the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding, to learning and development and offboarding where relevant.
This will in turn support a consistent approach to service delivery, a skilled workforce, and the delivery of quality services to our clients and customers.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated leader who loves creating, designing, and working with people to deliver solutions with real impact.
The position will also work closely with the Peninsula Health People, Workplace Safety and Wellbeing team.There will be an element of after-hours work involved in this role as our team operates 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
>Key Responsibilities
- Workforce development leadership, including management of strategic partnerships
- Development, administration, delivery and evaluation of training and development programs
- Oversight of MePACS recruitment, orientation, and local induction programs, including offboarding where relevant
- Career planning and strengths profiling
- Oversight of employee engagement programs
- Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational values, policies and procedures, including Enterprise Agreement conditions, occupational health and safety and equal employment opportunity.
- Demonstrates positive workplace behaviours and relationships at all times.
- Liaise with Peninsula health Learning and Development Team regarding organisational directions in relationship to building leader capability and engagement and development programs
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or significant experience in learning and development practice including learning design or curriculum implementation and content evaluation.
- Experience with the development and implementation of learning content, programs, and solutions.
- Proficient at all levels of the learning cycle from understanding needs, designing programs, and learning materials and evaluating the results.
- Familiarity with the methods and principles for designing programs to teach, train and instruct both groups and individuals, including the means of assessing the effects of training.
- Ability to adapt facilitation and training styles depending on the specific audience.
- Flexible work hours as there will be an element of afterhours work involved in this role.
- Valid and up to date Police Check.
- Bachelor's degree or related qualification in Education, Learning/Instructional Design. (desirable)
- Experience with integrating and maintaining Learning Management Systems. (desirable)
- Experience in the health care environment is beneficial but not essential.
