Global Express is looking for an ambitious, solutions driven executive to join our highly sought-after Courier business to fill the role of Strategic Solutions Manager.
Courier has diversified its suite of offerings by providing bespoke and flexible services in e-commerce, B2C, B2B & Contract Logistics/Fulfilment that are value creating for the customer.
The role is accountable for achieving agreed revenue targets, executing specific business strategy and working collaboratively with the broader GE sales team.
Opportunities will be executed via various means including Share of Wallet with existing customers, cross-BU selling in collaboration with the exiting Account Manager, business development prospects and canvassing of new opportunities for Team Global Express.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities- Identify and develop opportunities that lead to revenue growth with our customers
- Develop contract logistics modelled solutions where revenue opportunities are in the 520 million dollar plus range.
- Achieve profitable and sustainable growth in solution design by products and services, by implementing plans and strategies to ensure growth opportunities are exceeded.
- Assist with the implementation of marketing plans by product/service as required.
- Develop and improve sales staff knowledge, capability and focus to achieve growth, revenue and delivered margin targets.
- Lead and/or coordinate Tender Responses as required.
- Design solutions to meet customer needs.
- Provide direction and guidance to the sales team to assist in developing bespoke solutions for their customer opportunities.
- Continually leverage effective relationships with the business partners internally and externally to identify opportunities to achieve growth.
- Utilise customer profitability models ensuring profitable revenue is maintained.
- Improve yield per customer and implement cost recovery strategies.
- Stay abreast and advise on competitor activity.
- Maintain, optimise and deliver on operational requirements.

- Ability to see the "Big Picture" and quickly reach an understanding of customer's business and their requirements.
