Ocado has signed partnership agreements with leading retail companies around the world for us to implement our eCommerce operating platform. One of those companies is Coles in Australia. With a bright future ahead, our Solutions team is looking to build our team further to help support Coles.
The Solutions Manager will support the Post sales process and is responsible for the definition and management of the client partner end to end capability roadmap, ensuring their requirements are fully represented and understood whilst managing their expectation in line with the platform roadmap. They liaise closely with the client partner and the wider Ocado Solutions organisation to support the implementation of our Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) for our clients internationally.
The Solutions Manager ensures our clients are fully conversant in the use of OSP. They have in-depth knowledge of all their Partner’s support requirements and upcoming deployments as well as their OSP operational performance. They ensure the seamless deployment of new features and products whilst championing the cause of their Partners to drive maximum performance and business value for the Partners and for Ocado.
**About the Role**
**The day to day for a Solutions Manager may involve**:
- partnering with their client partner to define the overall solution that meets their business needs and objectives;
- together with Client Services, ensure that our partners take full advantage of the current and future functionality of OSP, thus enabling a best in world grocery ecommerce experience;
- together with the Solutions Architect will be the main point of contact between the client, Solutions Product teams and the technology teams. They will also work closely with the Partnership Management, Programme Management and Client services teams to ensure successful overall project implementation;
- working with the Ocado Solutions Partnership Management team to keep a positive partner relationship;
- working closely with our partners to assess their needs and discuss future feature requests with the client. The Solutions Manager will then partner with product and commercial teams to drive feature requirements from clients, from concept to contract to implementation to launch.
- representing clients at product and feature discussions, inputting data driven partner use cases and scenarios;
- supporting the partner, by owning the capability roadmap on their behalf and then escalating important needs to relevant product and development teams.
- discussing requirements with the client, and communicate up and coming features and launch timelines to Client, this will include new capabilities on the future roadmap for OSP as well as any fixes or processes;
- acting as primary point of contact for the Partner’s OSP teams for the effective use of OSP;
- leading successful deployments and operational go lives for OSP features and products ensuring Partners are prepared and ready;
- coordinating with Ocado teams to ensure Partners receive the knowledge and information required for successful utilisation of OSP so they deliver on their business objectives;
- reviewing and maintain excellent knowledge of Partner KPIs and performance;
- highlighting process improvements within Ocado, Partner OSP operations and onsite Ocado Client Services teams; and
- constantly balancing the needs of Partner support requests with conscious respect for the contractual commitments.
**About You**:
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in managing strategic partnerships or client relationships.
- Experience working for technology companies - managing clients needs and strategic objectives.
- Excellent problem solving and strong analytical skills, attention to detail is essential.
- Ecommerce / Grocery industry knowledge desirable.
- Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally, to drive partnerships or projects.
