Raging Waters Sydney - Food & Beverage Coordinator

About the role:


The Food & Beverage Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety, cost, profitability, and direction of the Food & Beverage Department.

They must oversee Team Members ensuring exceptional customer service and performance of their duties to the highest possible standard within our various Food & Beverage outlets.


The Food & Beverage Coordinator is to assist the Food & Beverage Manager with training and leading the food & beverage team ensuring outlets are operated in an efficient and effective way.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Being an ambassador for Raging Waters Sydney and enforcing all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and those of Palace Entertainment and Parques Reunidos.- To effectively lead a team of Food & Beverage team members by ensuring department is running efficiently and create and maintain a positive work environment.- Be a hands-on coordinator, by taking charge and leading all areas including food preparation, kitchen operator, runner, and counter service.- Always ensuring exceptional guest service, with a focus on friendly service, minimizing wait time and queue time.- To assist with effectively, recruiting, training, developing and mentoring food & beverage team members.- Ensure all food and beverage team members, are always supervised and that all policies and procedures are being followed.- Monitor and motivate team members to achieve ensure all tasks are completed by food & beverage team members.- Monitor and maintain correct operating levels as specified in line schedules for all operational days.- Coordinating staffing levels on operational days and nonoperational days utilizing Quinyx scheduling system.- Assist with reviewing and checking the accuracy of staff time punching and attendance records.- Review, check the accuracy and sign off the daily checklists for each location.- Effectively coordinate the team for opening or closing each outlet.- Assist with stock management, ensuring each outlet is stocked at opening.- Enforce food safety guidelines, particularly in relation to handling and storing food.- Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and to promote a positive working environment.- Set service standards and ensure appropriate training of team members to enable them to deliver a superior service experience to guests.- Understand the industrial instrument that your team members are covered by ensuring compliance with all conditions.- Ensure that all safety and compliance training and intervention actions are undertaken and executed by team members.- Oversee and ensure correct Responsible Service of Alcohol occurs.- Ensure that all Food Safety protocols are always adhered to.- Assist in other associated areas as required.- Coordinate cleanliness within the food & beverage areas including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, clearing and cleaning tables, emptying rubbish bins, maintaining picnic areas, maintaining birthday & cabana areas, offices, work areas and restrooms.- Assist in the development, implementation, delivery and review of policy and procedures that ensure Raging Waters Sydney meets its various obligations including financial, workplace health and safety, industry, and legal requirements.- Required to be Food & Beverage Team Member as required or directed.- To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or member of the Management Team.


Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):

  • Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors.
  • Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
