Motor Claims Recovery Officer | Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide

Our National Recoveries Unit manages the recoveries aspect of our general insurance claims. We currently have an opportunity for a Recovery Officer to join our Melbourne team.

You'll be responsible for:

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for analysing, reviewing and managing a portfolio of new motor claims recovery files with the aim of maximising Allianz's recovery income as well as supporting rest of the team of recovery officers.

This is a team where we support each other to achieve our collective goals. You will be someone who is collaborative, yet able to work independently and take initiative.

Important to your success:

  • Experience in a dynamic fastpaced customer service organisation
  • Motor lodgement or claims experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the laws relating to debt collection, liability and insurance
  • Excellent customer service ethic
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands
  • Able to pay high attention to details by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome
