The opportunity
The Senior Recovery Specialist manages debt collection, processing write-offs, and contributes to debt management strategies and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the responsibilities include:
- Managing a debt portfolio, including complex matters, negotiating with stakeholders at a senior commercial level
- Developing strategies to enhance debt management functions
- Providing analysis, advice, and assistance for continuous improvement in debt management
- Offering guidance and support to branch staff
Who we are looking for
To excel in this role, applicants should have:
- Experience in executing debt recovery processes under Victorian taxation laws
- Knowledge or ability to swiftly learn about taxes, grants, and rebates managed by the SRO and associated policies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities
- Capability to mentor individuals and drive improvements in systems and procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills for research and data analysis
