Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Manager Equity Services to join Equity, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.
The Manager Equity Services will be accountable for development and leading a suite of strategic initiatives including but not limited to cultural safety training, enhancing a case management approach with other key area's ensuring a trauma-informed approach.
The position provides leadership and direction in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and programs to ensure an equitable and inclusive culture.
The position requires a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice, organisational learning and development, and social justice issues affecting staff and students in higher education, including relevant legislation and best practice.

About the area
Equity sits within the Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division and is responsible for Equity services aims to ensure that our students and staff mirrors the diversity of the community outside the university, and that all students and staff thrive, regardless their background.
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to a postgraduate degree with extensive relevant experience in the fields of psychology/traumainformed practice, human resources, or learning and development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the investigation and resolution of grievances or the effective case management of complex matters, involving both internal processes and the procedures of external commissions/ tribunals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to devise engaging presentations, write concise reports, and to facilitate positive organisational change.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including the ability to maintain effective collaboration with stakeholders, monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure project objectives are met.
