THE ROLE

The Manager, Culture, Leadership and Gender Equality, leads a team of organisational development practitioners who work in partnership with DFFH divisions to grow and sustain a positive, productive and respectful organisational culture, build leadership capability and performance, strengthen gender equality and improve retention of critical workers, with a focus on Child Protection Practitioners.

The team assists divisions to identify the current state and desired future state of their culture and leadership and supports the preparation and implementation of strategies and actions that will deliver improvements in culture, leadership, employee performance, engagement, gender equality and retention of critical workers.

This position undertakes an important business partner role and works closely with senior leaders across DFFH.

The position is accountable for delivering on key projects and achieving measurable outcomes under the DFFH People Strategy, Child Protection Workforce Strategy and Gender Equality Action Plan.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Lead a team that works collaboratively with divisional executives, other senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to improve culture, leadership, performance, engagement and gender equality in DFFH through wholeofdepartment and customised local approaches.
  • Support business areas to analyse and understand their People Matter Survey results and other data and to conceptualise and progress strategic opportunities for organisational development and improvement.
  • Lead and implement initiatives and actions under the Child Protection Workforce Strategy to improve retention and development of Child Protection Practitioners.
