The Position


The Executive Manager of the Council & CEO is responsible for providing the highest levels of expert governance support for internal operations and the Mayor and Councillors to ensure legislative requirements are met.

The role also acts as the coordinator of Council's relationships with State Government ministerial offices, state bodies and authorities, inspectorates and Council's Audit and Risk Committee.


This is an outstanding opportunity to be a key contributor to building a leading, modern and open organisation that delivers a robust strategic plan to support Council's ambitions.

This role is part of the executive leadership team and will lead on the development of best practice governance mechanisms and capabilities to ensure effective support, decision-making and leadership of elected officials.

An appropriate tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and/or experience is essential.
