The primary focus of this role is to provide early, timely and personal claims management and return to work service to injured workers and employers.

It is also to proactively support the injured worker and employer through the recovery and return to work process.

This is a
permanent,
full time position based in the
Western Metropolitan Region (Melton, Sunbury, Digger Rest, Macedon Ranges). Package includes a fully maintained vehicle.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide workers' compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers and providers
  • Deliver personalised facetoface assistance to workers and employers
  • Conduct communitybased visits inclusive of but not limited to worksites or medical clinics on initial triage of a claim and at significant milestones during the life of a claim
  • Proactively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve sustainable return to work and restoration to the community outcomes
  • Assist in reviewing providers' performance and consult with Provider / Return to Work Specialist where required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

  • Desirable experience in Occupational Rehabilitation/Return to Work, Nursing, Allied Health or experience in Case Management
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation (preferred)
  • Effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work
  • Sound negotiation and influencing skills
  • Current Unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
