Role

This full time role is suitable for someone looking to build and establish their career with a high-end brand in the interior design industry.


Reporting to the Director, the Sales & Design Consultant will help service the industry's Tier 1 leading interior designers, architects and stylists as well as their retail clientele.


A passion for interiors and strong administrative skills are required to work with our client in the showroom on wide-ranging residential and commercial projects.

Our client will provide full product training, ongoing support and career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working directly with designers / architects / retail clients in our clients showroom to specify their broad range of rug, carpet & têxtile options including custom work
  • Issuing quotes/product specs to clients and carpet tender responses to builders
  • Liaising directly with subcontractors to coordinate deliveries and carpet installations
  • Assisting with the overall day to day running of the showroom to ensure it's perfectly displayed
  • Ensuring sample libraries are up to date
  • Working at trade fairs and other events to represent and promote our clients brand
  • Networking with the A&D community across Australia

Skills & Experience

  • Previous sales experience in highend retail / design industry is highly desirable
  • Resourcefulness with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the capability to multitask, problem solve and effectively achieve team objectives
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills including high level computer literacy
  • Experience in the daytoday operations of a retail business or in another fastpaced environment
  • Experience or education in the design industry
  • Experience working with architectural plans
