We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Safety Systems Coordinator
to join our Rail and Transit Systems team based in Melbourne.
Downer has over 100 years' rail experience providing end-to-end, innovative integrated transport solutions.

Our capability spans all sectors, from rollingstock to infrastructure, and every project phase, from design and manufacture to through-life-support, fleet maintenance, operations and comprehensive overhaul of assets.

The Rail & Transit Systems business provides a range of end to end, innovative transport solutions including:

  • Rolling Stock Design & Manufacture
  • Rolling Stock System Integration
  • Fleet Through Life Support Services
  • Public Transport Operations


This is an opportunity for you to work on iconic rolling stock projects across Australia with a high performing team.


Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Risk Management, Health & Safety, Engineering
  • Lead ICAM Investigator qualification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and consultatively across varied internal stakeholders
  • Proactively monitor performance, raise any concerns and ensure issues are promptly addressed
  • Highly developed work organisation and project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities to respond effectively to emerging needs of the business
  • High level conceptual and analytical skills, and the capacity to develop solutions in a complex environment
  • Are able to travel on a regular basis
