Clinical & Enterprise Risk Management

  • Clinical Risk Management includes clinical incident reporting, incident investigation & management, clinical risk assessment & management and involves close liaison with senior clinicians (includes COVID related risk assessment & review).
  • Enterprise risk management includes nonclinical risk oversight across Alfred Health, as well as management of the enterprise risk register, risk reports to the Executive and Board, readiness for annual risk attestation requirements; legislative compliance.
  • Oversight of death screening process, Victorian Audit of Surgical Mortality (VASM) and coronial cases.
  • Responsibility for Legal Support Services.

About the role


The Quality Data Systems and Analytics Coordinator will be responsible for the general administration and continuous improvement of the Riskman system including all current and future modules.

The Quality Data Systems and Analytics Coordinator will provide support to staff and management across Alfred Health in achieving optimum functionality of RiskMan to assist with decision making, reducing risk, drive continuous improvement as well as meeting government reporting requirements.


Additionally, there will be responsibility for undertaking analysis of complex internal and external safety and quality datasets to ensure an accurate understanding of the quality and safety of patient care and identification of opportunities for improvements.

The Quality Data Systems and Analytics Coordinator will support data elements relating to patient safety, quality and risk within Alfred Health.


Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary health sciences or clinical informatics qualification;
  • Database management skills;
  • Ability to interrogate data including analysis and interpretation;
  • Excellent skills in systems thinking and problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work colloboratively
