The Anglican Diocese of Newcastle (Newcastle Anglican), has a rich history, celebrating 175 years within our region as the longest-serving church, founded by Bishop William Tyrrell in 1847.
With over fifty parishes in the Diocese, their footprint extends from the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Hunter, Paterson, and Port Stephens to the Manning region of New South Wales, Australia.
With over 2500+ employees (and countless volunteers) the Newcastle Anglican ministry meets the needs of the community through their agencies Anglican Care, Samaritans, and Newcastle Anglican Schools.
Newcastle Anglican also supports the elderly community through its aged care service, Anglican Care, which caters to 600 residents and continues to grow its services throughout the community with Home Care and Retirement Living services.

About The Role
Reporting into the General Manager P&C, an inspiration leader, your role as HR Business Partner to will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR initiatives and systems.
You will be able to promote a performance-driven and rewarding workplace culture that inspires workers to engage and take ownership of the role they play in ensuring our success.
Fostering a culture of safety by modelling behaviours consistent with Anglican Care's Policies and Procedures will be essential.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular meetings with Managers to develop a solid understanding of their service, its challenges and where the People & Culture team can provide guidance and support.
- Identify and act on opportunities to enhance the capability of managers, through coaching and guidance
- Provide timely and proactive generalist HR support
- Support managers with grievance management, workplace investigations, counselling/performance management.
- Partnering with managers to support workforce planning and workforce engagement
- Review and development of policy and process development, implementation and compliance initiatives
About You
- Tertiary qualification, diploma or certificate in Human Resources, business, or related field.
- 3 years' demonstrated experience in in providing endtoend HR support, guidance and advice
- Possess Excellent negotiation and problemsolving skills.
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, ensuring successful relationships are developed and maintained
