Overview

Your Role

  • We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Case Manager to handle a portfolio of claims under the Safety, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act (SRC Act).

This is a permanent full-time position with the option to work remotely.

  • Reporting to the Team Manager, you will provide a customer-focused case management service to your assigned SRC clients.
  • You will be responsible for actively managing all claims within your portfolio from notification to closure as part of a high-performing team.
How you'll make an impact

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in determining liability according to the DCMA agreement or on claims per TPA.
  • Consider Compliance, Medical Relationship, Employment Relationship, and Exclusionary Provisions when assessing liability.
  • Communicate decisions to employers and employees.
  • Prepare new claims upon registration, ensuring all relevant data is captured promptly.
  • Actively listen, show empathy, and address worker and employer needs.
  • Work towards sustainable early Return to Work (RTW) outcomes and positive injured worker survey results.
  • Participate in goal development and strategies for injured workers' independence.
  • Provide education to seriously injured workers, employers, and treatment providers on serious injury entitlements.
  • Ensure accurate data recording in line with internal and Comcare/Pracsys guidelines.
About you

We're looking for individuals with the following skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with individuals in vulnerable situations.
  • Experience in claims management and liability assessment.
  • Interpretation and application of legislation.
  • Knowledge of workplace injury impacts, health benefits, and available services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Claims Management Workers Compensation systems.
  • Experience managing claims under the SRC Act (desirable).
