The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Senior Case Manager to be part of our First Response Team at our Spring Hill site. Reporting to the Team Leader. This is a Full-time max term position until 30 June 2025. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 3.

You will successfully

  • Work to embed the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care in your team,.

  • Assist individuals to access support services and establish community supports, and where needed provide advocacy for the person with service providers.

  • Assist the Team Leader to establish new programs and projects.

  • Participate in local network meetings inclusive of Communities of Practice meetings.

  • Display high levels of emotional intelligence, with an awareness of how personal values and beliefs can impact work.

You will have

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development. A degree level qualification is preferred.

  • Relevant experience in a social service environment, including in client assessment and case management 

  • First Aid Certificate

  • A current Queensland Drivers Licence

  • Valid Queensland Blue Card Employee Working with Children Check
